Is it a messy job?

As much as we would like to say it isn't, unfortunately rewiring a property is quite messy, especially when it comes to dust. 

As a company, we are committed to maintain a clean environment and we'll always clean after our day's work. We will do our best to keep the dust down, for example with the use of dustsheets over your furniture.

How long does it take to carry out a rewire?

This depends on the size of the property. With a team of two electricians it takes an average of 1 week/10 working days for a 3 bed house.

How much does it cost?

This again depends on the size of the property. On average a rewire won't cost any less than £3,500.

Remember that the cheapest isn't always the best solution. Make sure that you trust the company that performs a rewire on your property. Too many times we have come across a poorly done job which ended up costing more to the client to rectify.

When does a house need to be rewired?

The general guidelines suggest that a home should be rewired every 25 years. We suggest that you keep your property looked after and have the wiring checked every 10 years, and 5 years for rented properties.

Will the general power shut off during the rewiring?

The main power will be off during the rewiring, but we can install temporary supplies on request, for example for fish tanks or fridges.

Can I keep staying in my property if it's being rewired?

We advise against it, as rewiring does create quite a lot of dust. Also for Health and Safety reasons we recommend an alternative accommodation.

Can I add extra sockets during rewiring?

Yes you can. In fact, when you rewire a property you can redesign your whole electrical layout.
